Ultra Green approached us with a big idea: offering consumers disposable plates, cups and flatware that were not only constructed from, but also packaged in, environmentally-sustainable, biodegradable and compostable materials. Their goal was to take products that were synonymous with waste and remake them into more earth-friendly, green options.

We developed a brand identity that could serve Ultra Green as both their corporate identity and as a modern, consumer-facing brand that would feel at home on retailers’ shelves side-by-side with brands like Method. We applied the new branding to retail packaging that could be produced using many of the same sustainable, biodegradable, and compostable materials and environmentally-friendly processes, that were used to manufacture the products themselves. We then developed the presentation materials, including in-store planograms, that Ultra Green used to successfully place their products in retailers like Target, The Fresh Market and Whole Foods.

Ultra Green has since broadened their focus to include the foodservice industry. The flexibility of the initial brand identity has allowed Ultra Green to successfully pivot to a business-to-business model with ease. Today, Ultra Green is an established, global leader in sustainable food packaging.
