To counter the public's reluctance to travel by air in the post 9/11 climate, the Minnesota Office of Tourism turned the focus of their promotional efforts inward and asked us to develop an initiative to educate Minnesotans about great in-state vacation destinations within easy driving distance of their homes. The result was the Explore Minnesota Trip on a Tankful campaign. We created an overall campaign “trip ticket” logo and a series of seasonal variations for use in interactive, print, direct mail and outdoor promotional efforts throughout the year.
