Creepy Customs is Connor Patrick Thinnes’ costume and props shop widely known for creating the most authentic, screen-accurate coveralls matching those worn by the character of Michael Myers from the Halloween movie series. They are the leading source for cosplayers, haunted houses and collectors looking for the ultimate in accuracy; however, despite offering superior products in a relatively small, niche market, they were losing sales to competitors with stronger brand images and wider social media exposure.

We designed a new logo inspired by 70s horror movie typography and hangtags that highlight what makes Creepy Customs superior to their competitors: their sourcing of 50-year-old, vintage, brand-matched coveralls, that are then dyed (if necessary), carefully weathered and distressed, to accurately match the screen-used costumes or customized to specific client requests.

The new identity and packaging was then widely shared on social media, specifically targeting influential fan and collector groups, resulting in not only orders from new clients, but also requests from previous clients wanting copies of the hangtags. Creepy Customs has now grown from a side project to a full-time business and now offers custom, pattern-accurate factory-made replicas of the increasingly difficult to source vintage coveralls.
